The original guide was authored around contributor workflow; the public page has since been revised.
Approach
- Organized the material around the contributor's journey rather than around internal knowledge of the project.
- Made contribution steps explicit and connected them to project standards.
- Kept the language direct so developers could use the guide while working.
What this work shows
The guide shows developer documentation, instructional writing, workflow design, editing, and open-source collaboration through a document meant to be used while contributing.
